Identify the assembly from available records

Ask building management for system information and relevant drawings. Identify affected rooms and known service routes without lifting panels or investigating live installations yourself. The responsible project team determines the actual construction and preparation needed.

Clearpath's flooring-removal service can be the starting point for an assessed ordinary floor-system enquiry. The guide does not imply data-centre work, service isolation or certification of a reused system.

This is a planning section, not a dismantling sequence. Apparent emptiness below a panel does not establish that an area is clear of services.

Compare the resulting floor levels

Finish-only renewal may keep the existing room level. Removing the panel and support system changes the physical relationship to surrounding rooms, thresholds and fixed fittings. The designer and receiving installer must resolve the new transitions.

For an illustrative office, a raised-floor meeting area might adjoin a conventional corridor. A proposal to remove the raised system needs a specific threshold solution; it cannot assume that covering removal alone creates a continuous finished floor.

Define reuse and preparation independently

If components are proposed for reuse, the appropriate supplier or installer must accept their condition and destination. Ordinary removal for disposal is a different instruction and should not include an unverified salvage promise.

The floor-layer schedule helps distinguish removal depth from repair and installation. Demountable partition planning is relevant where relocatable walls meet the raised system.

Request an assembly-specific assessment

Contact Clearpath with the affected area, available system information, intended final level and responsible service contacts. Identify which layers are included and what the receiving floor contractor needs to inspect after removal.
