Begin with the reviewed future use

The designer and relevant authorities resolve whether the proposed use and layout are suitable. The removal enquiry then identifies the ordinary interiors that conflict with that plan. It does not establish permission to change use.

Keep storefront, structure, shared systems and new installations separately assigned. Clearpath's commercial strip-out contribution concerns the assessed non-structural interiors.

Illustrative direction one: office to shop

Imagine a front reception leading into several enclosed offices and a rear staff room. The new retail design needs a continuous display area while retaining the staff room. The removal plan identifies selected office partitions, doors and counters; it also marks ceiling and floor footprints where those rooms disappear.

The storefront remains outside the ordinary removal boundary unless separately defined by the project team. New lighting and display installation do not become demolition tasks merely because the sales floor is being opened up.

Illustrative direction two: shop to office

Now consider an open shop with attached displays and a rear stockroom. A proposed office layout retains the stockroom as a support room but replaces display joinery and selected finishes. New enclosed workrooms are construction work; the removal package clears only what obstructs their agreed layout.

These examples explain layout choices, not actual Clearpath projects. A complete shell reset is another option only where the reviewed design and landlord requirements justify it.

Give the next installer a precise starting point

The receiving trades should identify exposed surfaces, repairs and new finish boundaries. Removing office walls may reveal gaps in flooring; removing a display may leave unfinished wall areas. Those conditions need a handover description rather than a promise that everything is ready for the next fit-out.

For retention within the same retail use, see what the next shop should keep. For an office package, use office strip-out.

Compare the plans with Clearpath

Request an assessment with the old and proposed layouts, the authorised property contact and retained areas. State which use and design decisions are confirmed and which still need professional review.
