Make the weather-dependent tasks visible

List the parts of the proposal that depend on outdoor access, loading, exposed openings or ground conditions. Interior work can still rely on an outdoor carrying route. CCOHS notes that cold-work risk depends on more than temperature and that rescheduling may be appropriate. The contractor must assess the actual working conditions; this guide does not set a safe temperature.

Assign route preparation

Ask who is responsible for assessing and maintaining the route before attendance and during the work. Include the loading position and the point where outside conditions meet retained indoor areas. Confirm how the responsible person reports that the agreed arrangement is unavailable. Do not assume an ordinary household path is suitable for the proposed removal activity.

Coordinate openings and services

If removal affects the enclosure or a service needed by the retained building, involve the responsible designer and trades before scheduling. Identify who supplies the temporary arrangement and who confirms readiness. Do not improvise heaters, coverings or service connections from a general demolition guide.

Agree the weather decision point

Name who reviews conditions, who can postpone the affected work and who notifies the following trade or collector. Keep a revised plan when access changes. The phased handoff plan can capture the resulting sequence without turning a tentative weather window into a completion guarantee.
