Compare instructions with the actual unit
Put the lease-end instruction, current fit-out drawing and visible fixture inventory beside one another. Give each fitting a reference: display bay, sales counter, storage partition or entrance assembly. Record which document addresses it. An old drawing may not reflect later tenant changes, so an apparent mismatch should be made visible before an estimate assumes removal.
Record a conflict instead of choosing a side
When instructions conflict, write both references and identify the person authorised to resolve the discrepancy. Use a status such as awaiting confirmation. Do not treat silence, an unsigned sketch or a future tenant's preference as a final instruction. Keep the written response with the revised inventory and date it.
Keep storefront work explicit
Glazing, entrance doors, external signage and shared building elements need specific scope review. Do not fold them into an interior fixture list simply because they are visible from the shop floor. Flag affected connections and trade responsibilities separately. Record the carrying route without assuming the customer entrance can be used for debris.
Use a fixture discrepancy register
Use the discrepancy register to turn unresolved ownership and retention questions into clear decisions. The retail strip-out page remains the service enquiry destination. Once the removal list is agreed, carry its boundaries into the commercial handover checklist, including the receiving party and required surface condition.

Copy these headings into your own working document and complete the rows for your property. The prompts are not findings or approval of work.
| Fixture reference | Conflicting instructions | Decision owner and response |
|---|---|---|

| Entrance / glazing / sign | Fill in | Specific scope review |

Keep your completed record private. Bring the relevant scope questions into the optional project planner or discuss them directly with Clearpath.
