Choose the rooms that need to change
Compare the proposed activities with the current room layout. An office refresh may need selected cupboards and finishes removed; a larger meeting room may involve assessed non-structural partitions. A community kitchen adds connected equipment and service responsibilities.
Clearpath's interior-demolition service provides the ordinary removal route. A community or faith-based use does not establish heritage conservation, art handling, organ removal or institutional procurement qualifications.
Illustrative room and feature map
| Area | Ordinary scope to assess | Keep separately directed |
|---|---|---|
| Administration office | Attached joinery, specified finishes and assessed partitions | Records, equipment and new services |
| Meeting or teaching room | Defined fit-out conflicting with the new layout | Significant fabric and specialist installations |
| Community kitchen | Ordinary interiors after trade preparation | Equipment and connected systems |
| Hall with retained features | Specific later fit-out only | Ceremonial objects, artwork and conservation decisions |
This is an illustrative planning map, not a completed Clearpath project. It does not certify structural adequacy or the acceptability of changing significant fabric.
Follow the boundary around retained features
A later cupboard or lining may meet an older wall, decorative ceiling or fixed feature. The designer and relevant specialist should define the removal endpoint and any investigation required. Do not assume a later addition can be detached without affecting what it touches.
The ornamental-ceiling guide explains this distinction for decorative plaster. Specialist repair or replication remains outside ordinary removal.
Coordinate receiving trades and building use
The next contractors define repairs, new finishes and building-service work. Management and the project team determine how rooms are released and whether other activities can occur elsewhere. A room marked retained is not itself an approved operating arrangement.
For teaching-room changes, the training-centre comparison offers a narrower ordinary interior example without implying public-school experience.
Bring the retained-feature plan to Clearpath
Request an assessment with the affected rooms, proposed use, retained features and authorised project contact. Identify the specialist decisions already made and those still pending so the accepted ordinary removal package remains clear.
