Identify each item and its owner

Use equipment labels or records already available to identify the item, its location and the person controlling it. Separate retained, supplier-owned and proposed removal items. Do not assume equipment left in the unit belongs to the outgoing operator. Keep any ownership question visible until the authorised parties resolve it.

List connections for responsible-trade review

List visible or documented gas, electrical, water, drainage, ventilation and suppression connections as review questions. Identify the responsible trade or building contact, and record what confirmation is still needed. This brief does not establish Clearpath's capability to disconnect specialist equipment or service a suppression system. Equipment should not be moved or disconnected to make the inventory easier.

Describe the exit without moving equipment

Describe doors, stairs, turns and loading arrangements from a safe position. Available dimensions and manufacturer records can help explain a bulky item without handling it. The removal contractor must assess the actual item and route; a worksheet does not approve a lifting method or guarantee that the proposed exit will work.

Build the equipment briefing sheet

Send the briefing sheet with the restaurant strip-out enquiry. Keep equipment handling distinct from floor and wall finish removal, cleaning and reconstruction. Include the intended destination only where confirmed. A proposed reuse or collection arrangement should remain conditional until the receiving party and handling responsibilities are agreed.
