Build the application file before scheduling

Mississauga directs building permit applications through ePlans and asks applicants to gather the documents for their project type. Confirm the current demolition package with the City. Keep the property description, proposed removal and replacement intentions consistent with the designer's information rather than reusing a package prepared for another municipality.

Check the service notification form

The City publishes a Demolition Notification of Service form that calls for agency notification signatures before permit issuance. Its agency labels include legacy names, so confirm the current contacts and applicable entries with the City. Do not omit a service merely because the property owner no longer receives a bill for it.

Distinguish notification from completion

A signature acknowledging notification and evidence that a service has actually been disconnected answer different questions. Ask the responsible agency or trade what completion documentation applies to the work. Keep those records beside the form. The utility disconnection guide explains why a visible switch position is not enough.

Track the unresolved agency dependency

For each applicable service, record the requested action, response and remaining step in your private project file. Share the status relevant to the removal enquiry without exposing account numbers. Keep the start dependent on the required permissions and service readiness. This guide does not offer agency disconnection work or promise an application turnaround.
