Give each cabinet run a name

Describe the kitchen by recognisable groups: the sink run, tall units, island and adjoining wall. Mark each group keep, remove or confirm. A photograph with a simple key is more useful than saying 'most cabinets stay'. Include doors, end panels and trim where they meet the proposed removal. Keep the key consistent with the room plan.

Resolve connected items together

A retained counter can depend on cabinetry below it, while a backsplash can meet both the counter and a wall finish. Ask the assessor to review these connections before treating each item as independently removable. Record any wish to reuse a cabinet or appliance, but leave feasibility open until its condition, fixings and access have been assessed.

Check the next installation boundary

Ask the next installer what surface or opening they need to receive. Keep that requested condition separate from the demolition proposal until both parties agree it. Water, gas and electrical connections require named responsible trades. This plan does not tell an owner how to disconnect equipment or establish that removal will leave an undamaged, installation-ready surface.

Use a keep and remove schedule

Use the schedule to resolve mixed decisions before comparing estimates. For each group, record the retained neighbour and the unanswered connection question. Carry the agreed items into the project planner, or start directly with a kitchen demolition enquiry. Do not leave a keep decision hidden only in a photograph caption.
